About

About this experience

There's something magical about turning a lump of clay into something you made with your own hands. This pottery experience slows you down, gets your hands dirty (in the best way), and ends with a piece that's uniquely yours — wobbles, imperfections and all. No skill required, just a willingness to get a little messy.

Hosted by Archana Deshpande

Archana Deshpande is the Founder of PotteryDen, a Pune-based ceramic studio and lifestyle brand dedicated to reviving the timeless art of handcrafted pottery through contemporary design and immersive learning experiences. What began as a passion for handmade craftsmanship has evolved into one of Pune's most recognized pottery studios, bringing together traditional ceramic techniques, thoughtful design, and functional artistry. Through PotteryDen, Archana has built a creative space where pottery is not simply taught—it is experienced. With years of experience working with clay, she specializes in both wheel throwing and hand-building pottery, guiding participants through every stage of the creative process—from understanding the nature of clay to shaping, refining, and transforming it into beautiful, functional pieces. Pottery Den's workshops are designed to be welcoming for beginners while offering meaningful insights into the craftsmanship behind every creation. For Archana, pottery is far more than an art form. It is a practice of patience, mindfulness, and self-expression. Every piece begins as a simple lump of clay and, through time, intention, and skilled hands, becomes something uniquely personal. That philosophy lies at the heart of every workshop she hosts. Beyond the studio, her work has been featured across leading design, lifestyle, and entrepreneurial platforms, recognizing her efforts to blend India's rich pottery heritage with modern aesthetics while creating sustainable, handcrafted ceramic products for contemporary living. Whether you're touching clay for the very first time or looking to deepen your creative journey, Archana's workshops offer an inspiring space to slow down, create with intention, and discover the joy of making something truly your own.
